"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do,"
Our Savior spoke these words while the crucifixion He went through,He continued to love us even when we put Him on the cross,
Because without it, all of humanity would suffer loss.
He knew what we had done, and yet He did what He had to do,
He calls out to sinners such as me and you,
He loved beyond words and took upon Himself our sin,
He laid down His life for the souls of men.
What have we done to show our love?
Love by example, from God above,
Or have we been uncaring and rude,
Have we thanked them with gratitude?
The blood of our Savior was spilled,
And our sinful souls were healed.
This sacrifice was far greater than love spoken,
It was done so that man's soul would not be broken.

Paul understood what love God expressed to man. If you are unfamiliar with God's love; then read I Corinthians 13 and you will understand. Another suggestion I have for you if you don't understand love and what it is truly all about; then watch Fireproof, a Sherwood Pictures film about fire-proofing your marriage.
